Storage
  • Store the uncooked dal in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. You can simply store them in our zipper lock packaging.
  • Always use a dry spoon to scoop the dal from the container to prevent moisture build-up.
  • For longer storage, you can store the dal in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • If storing in the refrigerator, use a sealed container and consume within 3-4 days.
  • If storing in the freezer, store the dal in a freezer-safe container, and it will last for up to 6 months. Thaw it in the refrigerator before using it.

Usage
  • Rinse the dal in water a few times and soak it in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Drain the water and add fresh water in a ratio of 1:3 (one part dal, three parts water) in a pressure cooker or pot.
  • Add salt and any other spices or herbs of your choice.
  • Cook the dal until it is soft and mushy, which usually takes around 10-12 whistles on a pressure cooker or 45-50 minutes in a pot.
