Ingredients

  • ½ cup moong dal
  • ½ cup masoor dal
  • ¼ red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilis, minced
  • 1 or ½ chopped cucumber
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ tsp kala namak (black salt)
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • Chopped green coriander
  • 1.5 tsp chaat masala + more to taste
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Methods

Step 1:

Soak and dry moong and masoor dal. You need to soak your dal for at least 8 to 10 hours, and after that, drain and dry. Partially cover the dal for another 8 to 10 hours until it gets sprouts.

Step 2:

Now, let’s jump to the recipe: add sprouted dal to a bowl.

Step 3:

Add chopped tomatoes, onion, and cucumber to the bowl.

Step 4:

Now finish by adding chopped coriander, 1.5 tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp kala namak, ½ tsp black Pepper, and lime water.
